Session Sponsors
A Topic Sponsor is a PAC member who sponsors a proposed WM Session. The Topic Sponsor provides guidance and direction to assure compliance with all PAC Policies and Procedures. A Topic Sponsor title converts to a Session Sponsor title if the topic is accepted during the abstract review and assigned a Session number. Sponsors shall:
A) Fully understand and commit to the duties and responsibilities of the Sponsor as well as an Organizer before accepting this assignment.
B) Provide guidance and direction to assure compliance with all PAC Policies and Procedures.
C) Attend the Abstract Review meeting (or send a PAC member substitute) to ensure that the Topic is properly organized. Verify the Track Co-Chairs know who at the meeting is responsible for your Topic.
D) Monitor the Paper Review process to assure that an adequate and timely review occurs. Recommend solutions to the Track Co-Chairs if issues arise.
E) Attend the Session at the WM conference and assist as needed, in its success.
