WMS Lifetime Achievement Award
The WMS Lifetime Achievement Award, named in honour of Dr. Wendell Weart was established in 2001 to periodically recognize individual long term excellence in nuclear waste management. First awarded to Dr. Weart, the Award recognizes the long-term commitment of selected recipients in solving nuclear waste challenges, which may include education, research, public policy, or implementation of solutions for managing nuclear wastes, and whose actions have contributed to the resolution of significant nuclear waste management issues.
This award, sponsored by Sandia National Laboratories, will be presented at the Waste Management conference at the Awards Luncheon.
The 2010 WMS Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Leif G. Eriksson,PG.
